Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is a form of real-time Internet text messaging (chat) or synchronous conferencing. It allows group or one-to-one communication as well as data transfer.

If you want immediate, simple access to our discussion channel, you can use the privnet web client, choose a nickname and select #Aegis_Imperium as the channel. Stratics does not officially support Mortal Online.

If you intend to chat with the Aegis Imperium quite often, you should think about using a more capable IRC client, like mIRC, IceChat or Pidgin.

 If you are Firefox user, you can alternatively use ChatZilla.

- Choose your "official" nickname with the command:

/nick my_nickname

- Then register your nickname on the IRC host:

/msg NickServ REGISTER my_password my_email

- Now can identify yourself every time you come to IRC with the command:

/msg Nickserv IDENTIFY my_password

- If you're identified then you can also link other nicknames to your main one with the command:

/msg Nickserv LINK other_nickname

- When you change your nickname to a linked nickname, you will remain identified:

/nick linked_nickname

- To see if someone is registered and identified properly (= probably not an impostor), you can use the following command (result must be = 3) :

/msg Nickserv STATUS a_nickname_or_yours
