Residency |
The Aegis Imperium has a spot to accommodate everyone, and it includes those who just need a safe environment to go about their lives on Nave.
If you are seeking shelter and protection but do not wish to commit yourself or your organization to it, then you are at the right place.
Residents
Being a Resident is non-binding, meaning that if you find another group that suits your needs better than the Imperium, you are free to leave without any consequences. At the same time the Imperium does not expect any participation in the Imperium's activity from its Residents: they are free to do as they wish. The only condition is that they pay taxes in exchange for protection by the Imperium.
Currently, applying for Residency is done via our forums.
Protectorates
Protectorate is simply a term to designate Resident guilds. Entire guilds can apply as Protectorates of the Imperium, which means current and new recruits don't have to go through a residency application process separately.
We just ask Protectorates leaders to make sure their members and potential recruits are aware that the guild is an AI Protectorate and that they understand what it means.

What the Imperium offers to Residents
Please note that these specifications may evolve depending on the actual in-game mechanics.
- A spot of land within Imperial territory or at the immediate border of it (in which case the Imperial territory is expanded to include your piece of land) for you to build houses and other structures
- Free reign to carry out your own agenda, as long as it does not affect the Imperium in a negative way
- Access to most resource spots within Imperial territory (see below for limitations)
- Military assistance from all PvP-capable Members of the Imperium, should you be attacked within Imperial territory
- Scheduled expeditions to NPC cities and other points of interest on Nave
- Ability to discuss exclusive access to certain resource spots in exchange of rental fees
- Free trade opportunities with the other members of the Imperium and its friends.
- Access to Imperial facilities, such as production and refining structures, at a low cost
What is expected from Residents
Please note that these specifications may evolve depending on the actual in-game mechanics.
It is forbidden to:
- attack or steal from Members of the Imperium
- attack or steal from official Friends of the Imperium
- build houses or other structures outside your designated piece of land without asking permission
- exploit the specific resource spots that are reserved to Members within Imperial territory (a list will be provided later on)
Additionally, it is forbidden for Protectorates to engage in an open war with an entity that is not an official Enemy of the Imperium.
Exceptions to this rule can be discussed freely with the Imperium's leadership, as long as it is done before any negative consequences for the Imperium are observed.
Status loss
Should a Resident or Protectorate decide to cut ties with the Imperium, they will be asked to relocate.
Residency status may also be revoked if the rules stated above are broken.
Depending on the severity of the offense, the revocation consequence can range from a request to leave the area in a reasonable amount of time to the confiscation of all assets belonging to the offending party.
